The Holistic Healing Sweet Spot

Ever paused and thought about the world you live in and the life you lead?

For so many, the pace and chase of a day that's fleeing, leaves precious little time to embrace our wellbeing.

That every morning, getting back to the grind, simply takes its toll on your body and mind.

In a world of instant fix, and commercial wonder there’s always a quick click solve for that daily thunder.

Yep, there’s so much on call from fast food, booze, drugs, medication and social media, a world without any filter.  And we wonder why we are so out of kilter?

If you listen carefully, our minds and bodies whisper for something less. Something simple, something natural, just some bliss.

Modern western medicine has advanced incredibly over the last two centuries with advances having been made across the spectrum of physiological and psychological problems.

Science based medical care is invaluable but there remains a deep disconnect with the very essence of life. The delicate natural balance that our minds and bodies need to be healthy, present and strong can be found by incorporating the threads of Holistic Healing.

I am a firm advocate of blending modern western medicine with the rich tapestry of Eastern holistic healing practices that have been developed over centuries.

Honed by tradition and anchored in Qi (ch'i), Chinese Medicine focuses on revitalising and harmonising the vital energy in our bodies to restore balance. Acupuncture, Acupressure and Meditation are fundamental cornerstones of Holistic Healing that relieve physical, psychological and stress related problems.

Auricular Healing

Auricular Therapy involves acupuncture or acupressure of the ear providing an incredible alternative wellness option for holistic health and self-care.

As a microsystem of the body, points on the ear form a super highway connecting to the entire body allowing for diagnosis and targeted treatments. This ancient practice harnesses the ear’s unique energy map to promote balance, relaxation and well-being.

Certified Auricular practitioners are skilled at examining the ear and can reliably diagnose underlying medical conditions that can often provide an early warning to seek medical treatment and specific auricular therapy.

Acudetox practitioners who are NADA (National Acupuncture Detoxification Association) certified, use a non-invasive technique with small needles to stimulate detoxification, relaxation and balance in the body..

Studies show that stimulating the points with acupressure earseeds is an effective therapy to supplement Acudetox or simply as an alternative to needle acupuncture.  The application of ear seeds is simple and can be done at home with the use of specific protocol charts that guide where to apply the Earseeds. The effect of the treatment is amplified by continuing to stimulate (gently apply pressure) certain ear points throughout the following 3-5 days, after application. Ear seed kits for a range of physical and emotional issues are available for purchase online at EarSeeds Africa

Look out for our next Blog post where we explore Auricular Healing in more detail.

Rejuvenating Acupressure Self Care

While the Ear is a super highway to all areas of the body, acupoint meridians located across the body present a wonderful option for localised stimulation and massage for relief and balance.

Gua Sha Healing

Gua Sha Healing is a wonderful traditional Chinese medicine technique that helps improves circulation, muscle pain and tension by gently scraping your skin with a smooth-edged tool on the face, legs, back, neck and shoulders. Gua Sha, which translates as “to scrape away illness” removes stagnant qi - the body’s life-force energy. Combining Gua Sha healing with essential oils helps remove toxins, and promote lymphatic drainage. As a daily part of your beauty regime Gua Sha's anti-aging benefits include smoothing away the wrinkles of life.

Join me in an upcoming blog post were we delve into Gua Sha tools and techniques for a revitalising daily regime that will make you look and feel younger.

Acupressure Pain Patches

Pain and tension affect us all. Acupressure Pain Patches are a non-invasive alternative to medication and rely on magnetic therapy to relieve pain. our AcuPatches are safe, discrete plasters that are applied to areas of pain and inflammation to provide continuous relief.

Consciously bridging Western medicine with Holistic Wellness Therapies helps achieve mental and physical balance in our fast paced lives.

It reminds me of one of my favourite quotes from Dr Seuss:

So be sure when you step, step with care and great tact. And remember that life’s A Great Balancing Act. And will you succeed? Yes! You will, indeed! (98 and ¾ percent guaranteed) Kid, you’ll move mountains

Until next time

Stay Balanced and Happy
